Well since I have taken a LOTS of pictures of a scraped Toyota Starlet why not use them.., here they are. this pictures were taken with my mobile phone (Nokia N8).

My first Toyota Starlet, Year -84 (KP60)

Perhaps you may wonder why I have a soft spot for Toyota Starlet? Well it is because I earlier had an KP60 version of a Toyota Starlet. The one with rear drive.

I bought it for 6000 swedish crones about 15 year ago. I only had it for a couple of years (before scaping it), but I had no problem with it (except rust!). It was very fun to drive in the winter! Very reliable!

I really liked this car. Simple and rear wheel drive. The rear shock absorbers froze in the winter and it was slamming and behaving very hard :) However in the summer, no problem.

Toyota Starlet -97 speedometer said 140 000 kilometers, found in a car scrap yard

Yesterday I went to Kungsåra scrap yard again. This time they had just gotten a greenish Toyota Starlet from 1997 (I get an email everytime a Toyota Starlet is scraped.. I thought that this Starlet was in quite good condition, and I dont know why they decided to scrap it..?

Left rear window was broken.. I bouth that black rubber carpet that you can see in the back of the car. 50 swedish crones.

Looks pretty good under, not that much rust after all.

Engine 4E-FE

I think this is the servo. I dont have that in my car.. unfortunatly. To much job to change I think. And less to go wrong.

I dont have that right beltwheel in my car. And my car lack the hydralic stuff at the bottom of the picture also.

Under the car front wheel. Rust just as my car have. But no worries.

The catalysator has already been removed.

Looks like it has not been used for a while..

A little bit of the airbag can be seen in the steering wheel. This car also hade an airbag for the passenger, something that my car is missing. I think this car has most of the available extra equipment that you can get.

As I said.. I bought this black matt. Just need a little bit of cleaning.

Kurvhandtag till Toyota köpes

[UPDATE 2014-04-15. Har redan fått tag i handtag nu. Ej intresserad av att köpa längre!]

Tänkte jag skulle åka till någon bilskrot och titta, men jag söker allstå kurvhantag som ser ut som nedan. Dessa passar i en Toyota Starlet EP91 96-99.

Det ska vara ett rimligt pris, jag köper bara om det är ett OK pris, typ max 50 kr styck. (finns annars att köpa på Ebay). Jag behöver 3 st. Jag finns i Västerås.

Det ska vara ca16 cm mellan skruvhålen. Helst med rätt skruv också.

Dessa verkar sitta på Toyota äldre Hilux också, åtminstone äldre, typ 95-2000. Sitter även på Toyota 4-runner 90-96 (om jag fattat saken rätt). Kanske sitter i äldre Toyota Corolla också, typ 96-2000. Jag vet att dom åtminstone sitter i årsmodell 1990. (

Part 74610-16010-b6 has been replaced by 74610-12030-B4 (Landcruiser 78 79 Series), soruce: http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/toyota~grip~sub~assy~assist~74610-16010-B6.html
I have also seen them as 74610A, however there seems to be bigger 74620B next to the rear seat. I want the 74610A variant.
