Saw some nice rims on VW e-golf

 Again, not Starlet but these rims is nice looking on this VW e-Golf.

This is D. Hanna car. He likes his e-golf. And I see why, looks really nice

Marcus Toyota Starlet update

A little while ago I wrote a post about Marcus Starlet. He has now made a lot of changes! Among other things, lowered the car, put on new wheels, put in a brace bar. Changed the intake manifold (tubular Toyota Corolla). He is kind enough to send us some pictures for us Starlets fans.

Nice to see a styled Toyota Starlet on the roads in Sweden! :-) Looks good!

Here´s what´s been done

The intake manifold is mounted
Coilovers are mounted (some adjustment remains)
Other rims, 16 "are painted and assembled
A brace back, "Brace bar". Sitting between the C pillars behind anyway, although it is varnished and mounted.
The brace bar and the wheels are in the same color, turquoise :)
Japanese shock absorberis are mounted. Rebuild from from the rear axle and the back. Original is the 1.5 " exhaust, silencer had a connection of 2.5" and 4 "exhaust.

Other plans
He´s trying to save up for a wing which costs about 2000 SEK in England.
One of his next plans are to do an air intake in the hood. He has the stuff at home, but have to buy paint and varnish before the hood is cut up. It is for the open air filter to get more direct cold air.
New brakes are to be mounted in the front, both the discs and pads are at home.
External tachometer to be assembled, waiting to get home monitor that I ordered on Ebay and sent from China.

A new turquoise Bracebar in the rear. And a big exhaust!

Looks like Marcus matched the brace bar with the rims. Is he using electrica tape as the rubber? :) Low profile I must say. Seems he found some other rims than he showed earlier. Looks nice!

BBS RK on my Starlet EP91?

I wonder if this BBS RK 4x100 with ET35 will fit my Starlet EP91 without touching? Tires are 195/45/16.

Anybody know?

Do you think they will look okay on the Starlet?

 I know its no more than 38mm and no less than 35mm. All yaris wheels will go straight on, as will wheels from corollas etc. Most after market rims shud fit with 4x100 PCD and 35/38 mm offset.

According to a source on the Internet: The recommended offset for Starlet is 35-42

That is if you dont want to hit the wheel archers. It also of course depends on wheel size and tires. But I think you will be safe going 15" at least. Dont know about 16".

+35 on a 6.5in wide would sit nice with plenty of clearance.

+38 with a 7in wide.

Anymore and it sits to far in and looks funny

If you can get the 17x7 +38 in 4x100 then happy days ! However the rear might scrub when you get fatties in the back.
Hey just for informations sake, i have 225/35 18s on my ep91. i get no scrub in the back, and alittle scrub on full lock in the front.

Stock is 165/70R13 (13x5.5) I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

Anything wider than 7" will stick out from the factory guards.

The correct size for Starlet is 38-40, so 35 will be sticking out a tiny bit.

Rota Fighter 16x7, et40, spacers 20mm is included.

20mm spacers. The wheels are ns2 165/65/16  ( stretch! )
I guess ET40 will work? I could go without the spacers, but it might perhaps work to use the spacers with this narrow tires?
Spacers are 4x100 with 57,1mm hub adapted for the Rota rims. I guess 57,1 mm will work on a EP91?
